Rent Control Department Launches Initiative TO Train Certified House Agent

The Ashanti Regional Rent Control Department has announced plans to train individuals to become certified house agents.

According to Mr. Paul Kofi Appiah, Principal Rent Manager and Public Relations Officer, the training aims to professionalize the House Agent and eliminate unscrupulous “Goro House Agents”.

He said that interested individuals can participate in the training by purchasing and filling out forms.

Mr. Paul Kofi Appiah added that upon completion of the training, trainees will receive a certificate and be stationed in various communities to assist house or room seekers.

He disclosed this in an interview on PENT Radio’s Anopa Nsempa Morning Show with a sit-in host, Adwenpa-Hene Kofi Mensah.

“The certified house agents will help streamline the house rental process, making it easier for individuals to find houses or rooms to rent without facing challenges”, he said.

 

Mr. Paul Kofi Appiah, also noted that the training will include digital knowledge to enable house agents to program available houses or rooms on a platform.

 

He said that although forms will be sold, the cost is expected to be minimal.
