Kwaku Fosu Frimpong, a former New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate aspirant for Ahafo Ano North in the Ashanti Region, has issued a heartfelt plea for unity among party members as the January 31 presidential primaries approach.
He made this appeal while hosting a year-end gathering for delegates and supporters in the constituency, using the opportunity to drum up unity.
Speaking at the dinner, the business consultant and philanthropist reminded everyone that the NPP has always been a united party since its founding.
“We are known for standing together,” he said, “and we must keep that reputation alive before, during, and after the January 31, 2026, presidential primaries.”
Frimpong urged his fellow party members to campaign with decency, even though they may not all back the only one candidate.
He explained that the gathering was meant to bring all party members in the constituency together as one big family, sharing food, drinks, and gifts, and to strengthen the party’s foundation for the road ahead.
Looking ahead, he called on the NPP to seize the fresh start of the new year, put aside past grievances, and build a united front that will carry the party back to power in the 2028 general election and beyond.
“When we stand together, we become stronger, and we can return to government,” he added.
The event, which saw delegates mingle, enjoy a catered meal, and receive tokens of appreciation, was hailed as a step toward the cohesion Frimpong believes is essential for the party’s future success.
The delegates and supporters present expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Kwaku Fosu Frimpong for his kindness.
They offered prayers and blessings for him and reaffirmed their support for his call to unite ahead of the primaries.
“Another delegate echoed, ‘We see KFF as someone who’s always pushing for unity, so we must heed his call and make sure the NPP stays united, especially as we approach the presidential primary.’”
