Information reaching myghanamedia newsroom has stated that, some teachers from Junior High Schools (JHS) in the Ashanti Region are angry with the Ghana Education Service (GES) over what they termed as ‘poor conditions’ they were compelled to endure during a five-day workshop being organised by the Ghana Education Service at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science And Technology in Kumasi.
According to the source, the Teachers have refused to participate in ‘day three’ of the GES training on new curriculum over poor conditions offered them.
The teachers, who are supposed to be trained to enable them equip other teachers when they return to their various districts, say arrangements for accommodation and feeding among others was poorly done.
Speaking to one of the trainers who refused to show his identity said the training have to end on Friday, 31st December 2020 but after Tuesday’s training, He will discontinue the rest of the training.
According to the teachers the amount presented to them by the ministry as transportation is not enough, the trainer says.
“We are crying over transportation difficulties”.
