NDC Ashanti regional Communication team member Jerry James Sukah popularly known as Papa Jay aired out angrily in an interview monitored by myghanamedia.com following the latest assertion of the president recently about teachers.

According to him Considering the service teachers render in this country, there should be a vibrant emoluments committee set up by the government to review their salaries just like article 71 holders.
Unlike other countries, Ghana is the only country which denigrates the services of teachers.

A hungry teacher is indeed a harmful teacher.

Akuffo Addo was taught by a teacher and he needs to give us better remuneration.
This sector has been relegated to the extent that most people enters with the intention of quitting for better offers in China and USA in future..

Honor teachers just like you honor doctors, nurses and other service workers.
The GNAT,TUTAG,UTAG,and other teacher unions are tired of perpetual strikes and demonstrations.what is deterring Ghanaian leaders especially Akuffo Addo from attending to the plights of teachers and giving them better remunerations.
He further suggested that the basic salary to be given to diploma and degree teachers especially should hoover around 4000GH & 5000GH respectively to make the sector attractive and Worthy of regards.these amount can be used as a benchmark in paying the lecturers at the various tertiary institutions in the country.

Non increment in salaries should not be attributed to the plights of covid as Akufo-Addo made us to believe because the teacher unions cannot sit idle and watch the 1st & 2nd ladies with no assigned duties be paid a whooping 25000GH to 30000GH Cedis and other insignificant commitment of government expenditures which are unwarranted in this same covid season.
