The leader of the New Patriotic Party NPP caucus in parliament Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has indicated that the NPP caucus knows, that the Rt. Hon. Speaker Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin can not be nutural as far as he is coming from a party. For that matter the NPP caucus do not demand neutrality from them.
The Minister for government business addressing the parliamentary press corps today, on the majority and minority caucus brouhaha , said the Speaker himself on the floor of parliament addressed his deputy Hon. Afenyo Markins with the appropriate terminology as the Majority leader and addressed Hon. Haruna Iddrisu as the minority leader and later retracted by saying majority group and NDC caucus.
He stated that the speaker must be straight to himself as he indicated to the world saying he is going to be very impartial.
The leader elaborated by saying they require the speaker to demonstrate impartiality.
