Precious Ones, Afehyiapa. Please, as some of you may be aware, Rev Owusu Bempah on 31st Dec, said the immediate past chairman of the church of Pentecost , Apostle Prof Opoku Onyinah at one time invited him, and asked him to tell him what God had said about him, Aps Opoku Onyinah. Since Rev Anyani Boadu was in the said meeting, he has responded to debunk the statements made by Bishop Owusu Bempah. With the permission of Rev Anyani Boadum, Chairman Eric Nyamekye has asked me to share his response with you.
“The said meeting was at the behest of GPCC. It was not the personal initiative or personal interest of Apostle Opoku Onyinah to get a word of prophecy from him. GPCC tasked Apostle to help discuss his mode of prophecies within biblical context. Out of respect for Prophet Owusu Bempah and also not to create a “Sanhedrin” situation the Council decided not to speak publicly on the issue.
This also was out of respect for the prophet. That is why the Council chose me and the Revered Apostle who was our President at the time to meet him. The meeting was held at the porch of the Church of Pentecost chairman’s residence and not even at the hall. It all began when he uttered prophecies on some Bishop’s in the media and started prophesying death to certain notable members of society.
Apostle Antwi was the General Secretary at time. He called last night to confirm this. At the said meeting Apostle Opoku Onyina did not seek for any prophetic direction from the Prophet. All that Apostle did was to seek understanding of his prophetic ministry and how he began. The prophet took time to tell us how he began. After listening to him, Apostle advised him on HOW we as Men of God should communicate what God gives to us; being cautious to the sensitivities of people that we prophecy to in public.
It was a warm and friendly meeting. The demeanour of Prophet Owusu Bempah was very respectful towards the Apostle. The atmosphere was very cordial.” Rev Anyani Boadum.
