IGP Interdicts drunk police officer in viral video

The Inspector General of Police George Akuffo Dampare has with immediate effect interdicted a policeman caught on tape in a “perceived drunken state.”

 

 

 

A uniformed police officer is trending for the wrong and bad reasons. In a video sighted, the yet to be identified police officer was seen very drunk.

The video since it went viral has received mixed reactions. a section of concerned netizens who have come across this video have heaped blames on the person who filmed the drunk police officer.

They think this video was very might lead to his sack. While people are backlashing the person who recorded, other’s have also praised the recorder of the video for exposing the bad nuts in the security service.

The police said in a statement Wednesday that the officer is facing a service inquiry over his conduct. He has also been referred to a clinical psychologist for further examination.

 

“In addition, he will be referred to the Police Medical Board for thorough review and support towards rehabilitation where necessary,” the statement issued by the director-general of the Police Service ACP Kwesi Ofori said.

 

The police officer is seen in the widely circulated social media video wobbling and finding it difficult to calculate his steps.
