In his narration, he said human bodies were mutilated, buildings and other structures were completely destroyed following the explosion.
“It is as if we are in a war torn country,” he said.
Rescue efforts had been intensified following the incident.
A motorised tricycle, popularly known as Aboboyaa, is said to have collided with a fuel tanker, causing the disaster.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has issued an “emergency public notice” announcing the incident as “a huge explosion”.
