Traders of Central market in Kumasi who have been reallocated to Racecourse have expressed disappointed in the leadership of the new patriotic party of Ashanti region for paid less attention and care to their grievances over poor arrangements made towards reallocation of traders to their current locations.
The Adwenehemaa , Nana Sekina when speaking on behalf of the aggrieved traders said that, the management of KMA has failed to honor agreement made with them to prepare better allocation for them before evacuated them from Central market until they(traders) managed to have access to their current locations at Racecourse and the assembly has even failed to provide them with security, road networks and electricity to support their activities.
She recounted a lot of support gave to NPP during 2016 and 2020 general election but the current leadership of the party includes chairman Wontumi, Nana Ama Pomaa, women organizer and the likes have failed to visit them at their various challenging locations.
Nana Sekina made this known when one of the aspiring Ashanti regional chairman of NPP, Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, COKA, paid visit to the traders at Racecourse to familiar himself with their situation.
She used the visit to advised the aspiring chairman, Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah not repeat what had happened after won the battle as regional chairman because Wontumi has said he doesn’t know them else comes 2024 they will show exit to NPP through their votes and support
