The Atwima Nwabiagya Constituency First Vice-Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)  and also Patron of the NPP Crusaders, Hon. John Kwame Duodu, popularly called Sir John has lamented that the agenda “breaking the eight is possible-looking at what the party has been able to do within 6 years in power is marvelous.

Sir John believed that it was only the NPP that could run the affairs of the country with its youth-centered policies like the Free SHS, National Entrepreneurship Innovation Program (NEIP), and the infrastructure, roads, and many other developmental projects.

He therefore calls on all party faithful to start preaching the massive development of the Nana Addo-Bawumia administration to Ghanaians now before 2024.

“We have the capacity, and we have to start the campaign early—we shouldn’t wait till 2024. The party needs our prayers. We are on course. ”

Sir John also advised Ghanaian youth to keep their hopes alive because the NPP is implementing measures and policies geared towards making life comfortable for ordinary Ghanaians, and therefore, breaking the eight is a necessity for the party to continue with what it has begun.

“For some of us, leadership such as ours must be based on who has a competitive edge to harness political power for us at any given time-a leader who is compassionate, magnanimous, appealing to all, selfless with a sense of service, able to unite the party, has tremendous love for the party and country, people-centered with exceptional human relations, and an enviable track record.”

According to Sir John, who is also a member of NPP Medical Team in Ashanti Region, ” we must endeavour to send a positive signal to the generality of Ghanaians that ours is a party that embraces and offers opportunities to all—a party that guarantees that irrespective of one’s creed, ethnicity, gender, and faith, they can still rise to the number one spot in the party—a party that the daughter or son of a farmer from Fumbisi in the Upper East region can have the hope that they too, with a dint of hard work, can someday rise to the apex of its leadership.”

May we be guided by the eternal spirit of S.D. Dombo, of blessed memory, to know when to deny our own personal interests and sacrifice for the collective good of all.

He insisted that every member of the party must be on board for this dream and aim to be achieved.

He added that they (party members) must fight for every political space in the country to win the next elections.

They say we have to “break the eight”, but I say we can’t “break the eight” with just slogans, but with unity and oneness of purpose and also fighting hard and fighting for every political space in the country. ”
