I applaud “Arise Ghana” group for holding their Press Conference. That’s a step in the right direction. My only problem is their focus on Ken Ofori-Atta. Who’s Ken without Nana? Ken didn’t appoint himself, Nana appointed him. There’s nothing Ken has done without his appointer’s approval. It’s the appointer who doesn’t see any error in his appointee who must go. Nana has failed completely and he must go. When he goes, Ken goes.
I watched a video clip featuring Ken and a lady (a bondholder) on the issue of the DDEP a couple of days ago.
The lady was very eloquent and in simple terms told Ken that they must be exempted from the DDEP because it’s breach of contract and illegal.
Ken’s “tired” response may be summarized as:
1. The economy is in crisis
2. Everybody must sacrifice, otherwise, the whole economy will crash and people won’t get even a hair cut but a total loss.
4. People must therefore help government for government to help them.
Amazing idiocy.
So, all the interventions including the gold for cedi, gold for oil and gold for cocoa have failed, right? The one with the poorest record 16-0 from the witch doctor IMF is the only medicine that’ll work. For that medicine to be given by the witch doctor, pensioners must accept a hair cut. How ridiculously stupid!
Ok. The economy collapses, what happens to the polity? Ken shouldn’t warn anybody. He should warn himself because as sure as the sunrises in the east and sets in the west, an economic crash will come with a political crash. If he thinks investors will lose all their money, he should think of what he’ll lose.
If the life of a nation hangs on pensioners accepting a government pickpocketing them, then that President and his government must go.
Nana must run to Kumasi to meet the National House of Chiefs and handover power and let Nananom form a government of national unity till elections are help in December 2024.
This government isn’t functioning and can’t function. I just watched Randy Abbey’s show. If Armageddon is the Accra Sports stadium, we’re at the independence square. It’s more than scary but I warned you people way back in November 2021, didn’t I?
