The Head of Western North Regional Police Intelligence Unit, ASP. Frank Nsiah has been arrested for allegedly killing his junior, Constable David Gbati, after an altercation between the two in the Western North Region.
“The Constable met his untimely death when he was allegedly shot by one of his senior colleagues of the Western North Regional Police Command when they were returning from an operation last night,” a statement issued by the police on Saturday (6 May) said.
“The victim was rushed to the hospital for medical attention but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead on arrival,” the statement added.
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) George Akuffo Dampare has dispatched a team from Accra to “assess the situation and interact with the personnel,” the statement added.
