Foklex Media Awards: Agyenkwa FM’s Obofour Michael Adjudged Best Radio Producer In Ghana

Michael Drebrah, popularly called Obofuor Michael , a popular broadcasting Journalist  with Agyenkwa FM in Kumasi has been crowned the National Radio Producer of the Year in this year’s edition of the Foklex Media Awards.

Obofuor Michael beat Dr. Shine – Adom FM, Bright Kofi Boatche -Wontumi FM/TV, Prince Johnson – Asempa FM, Mubarak Yakubu – Angel FM, NKG – Onua FM, Godwin Dogbey – Okay FM and Mr. Haglah – Hitz FM  to win the Radio Producer of the Year category.

Speaking to MyGhanaMedia.com after picking his award, Obofuor, as he is affectionately called, said he was grateful to the Lord Almighty for His protection and guidance over the years.

“The journey hasn’t been easy, so I give all the glory to God for his protection and guidance. I’m also grateful to our listeners and all those who voted for me,” he said.

He expressed his sincere gratitude to the CEO of Tobinco Groups of Companies, Elder Nana Amo Toben(TOBINCO) and all the workers of Atinka Media, especially his manager, Mr Prince Atta Gyamfi(DJ BICE).

“I am especially extend my profound gratitude to my each and every one who supported me to win this award especially, my family and all the members of African Faith Tabernacle church members(Odifo Nkansah) led by Superior Prophet Stephen Frimpong III and his executives and all pastors and not forgotten Ohwim Glorious Assembly members led by Chief Pastor Emmanuel Nkansah Pastor Enoch Nkansah and others.

“I will continue do more hard work for people to benefit from me”, he stated

“I dedicate this award to my wife and children and the entire Agyenkwa FM news team for their support and prayers,” he added.

Organized by Foklex Media Productions and Awards, the event was held on Saturday, 13 May,  2023, at the National Theatre in Accra.

This year’s edition marks the 11th anniversary of the award scheme since it was introduced in the country to give recognition to deserving radio and television personalities for their hard work in the broadcasting industry.
