Late Christian Atsu’s Eldest Son Wins Player Of The Year In Northumberland Football League

The first son of the late Ghanaian international Christian Atsu Twasam has been awarded as the Northumberland Football League’s Player of the Year award.

 

In a tweeter post by GTV Sports+ share a photo of Joshua Twasam’s achievement, proudly holding a plaque of the Northumberland Football League’s Player of the Year award.

 

 

 

Joshua Twasam playing for the Gosforth Football Club at the Under-9 level,  showcased his skills and talent throughout the season. His team emerged victorious in the Pro Motiv8 Tournament’s final held in February.

 

Joushua’s remarkable performances have drawn attention, and he is considered one of the standout players in his team. The young boy spears to be following in the footsteps of his late father, who was a renowned footballer.

Atsu, a well-known player, represented Ghana in 65 matches, scoring nine goals. He was particularly remembered for his impressive goals in the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Egypt and the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final clash against Guinea.

 

Christian was confirmed dead in the early hours of February 18, 12 days after the devastating earthquakes which hit Turkey and Syria.
