Former Ghanaian international Charles Taylor has playfully remarked that he is on the lookout for a club in Saudi Arabia to join.
Saudi Arabia has emerged as an attractive destination for football stars, with the government acquiring four clubs in the country and investing heavily in securing renowned players.
Recent signings such as N’golo Kante, Karim Benzema, and Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League have further increased their popularity.
Speculation surrounding potential moves to the oil-rich nation has linked players like Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Bernardo Silva.
Inspired by these developments, the 41-year-old Taylor, who last played professionally in 2014, jokingly expressed his interest in coming out of retirement.
“I want a club in Saudi Arabia to play, I’ve not retired,” the 41-year-old said on Accra-based Angel FM.

Taylor gained prominence as a key member of the Hearts of Oak team that achieved an impressive treble by clinching the league, FA Cup, and CAF Champions League titles in 2000.
However, his career took a controversial turn when he made a contentious switch to Hearts of Oak’s arch-rivals, Asante Kotoko. The transfer stirred significant debate and added fuel to the already intense rivalry between the two clubs.
