The newly hired workers at Akim Oda Government Hospital in the Eastern Region have honored the Member of Parliament for Akim Oda constituency, Honourable Alexander Akwasi Acquah.
Over 20 Akim Oda Government Hospital workers who were recently mechanized with the help of Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah visited the Member of Parliament to thank him for the immense contribution he made to helping them mechanize.
They presented him with a citation as a token of their appreciation to the Member of Parliament for the honor he has added to their lives.
The beneficiaries, who have worked closely for more than 15 years at the Hospital led by Mr. Alex Attafuah, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah and thanked him for his continued support and immense contributions to the group.
According to Mr. Alex Attafuah, some of his colleagues worked for over seventeen years as casual workers, so if the MP has put a smile on their faces, they have to show appreciation to him. Indeed, he came to serve.
COMMENDATION:
Reading out the content of the citation to Hon. Akwasi Acquah, he said, “The non-mechanized staff of Oda government hospital wishes to appreciate your effort and dedication towards our employment into the government pay roll system in the year 2023. My Almighty God bles and protect you for your future progress. Long Live.”
APPRECIATION:
Speaking to Daily Searchlight Newspaper Correspondent Francis Mensah (Adwenpa-Hene) after receiving the award, Hon. Akwasi Acuah said he was grateful for the honor done to him.
He said the workers had shown they were monitoring the little contributions he was making to make their lives better.
In his remarks, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah tasked the newly mechanized Oda Government Hospital workers to continue to encourage their colleagues who are yet to be mechanized. The MP added that encouraging those yet to be mechanized will instill hope in them as they wait for their turn.
The MP charged them to make available means to propagate the success of the NPP Government and himself in the arena of Job creation ever since they assumed office in 2021.
Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, together with the MP’s Health Working Committee Chairman, Mr. Benjamin Kuuku Baiden, and Mr. Maxwell Kofi Anti, the Personal Assistant to the MP, were presented with a citation and a smock dress (fugu) for the selfless role they played to put smiles on their faces.
