Former Asante Kotoko, Medeama SC Striker Kabiru Moro Dies After Collapsing During Match

Former Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC striker Kabiru Moro has been confirmed dead after collapsing during on field during a football match.

Kabiru, who was a prominent figure in the Ghana Premier League few years ago, died on Tuesday evening during a community football game.

 

 

 

 

According to a family member of Moro in an interview with Accra-based Angel FM,  he passed on after collapsing on the pitch while playing football match in his hometown, Akwatia in the Eastern Region.

Moro played for Real Tamale United, Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC in the Ghana Premier League.

 

 

 

 

He was a member of the Medeama SC team that won the MTN FA Cup title in 2013 and also featured in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

Moro died at age 35
