Ghana Institute Of Foresters Organizes Legislative Forum On Impact Of Forest L.I (2462) And E.I (144)

At the auditorium of Renewable Natural Resources Department at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology , on Thursday 3rd of August 2023, the Ghana Institute Of Foresters (GIF) brought together stakeholders to discuss on the current progressive and retrogressive which the forest and it’s natural resources going to through.

Speakers included Dr. Kwame Asamoah Adam (President of GITMO), Professor Richard Nii Noi (Forest Conservation Manager), and Daryl Bosu (A ROCHA).

In a media interview, the president of the above-mentioned institute in Ashanti Region, Dr.Andy Osei Okrah, stated: “The main purpose of the forum is to energize and strengthen the data base of all members of the institute, as well as to look at the new L.I. law passed last year, to the profession.”
He emphasize the need of their members to euip themselves with the new instructions and regulation L.I.(2462), in further expanding the base of the institute.

He conclude by advising the general public to abide and comply with the law respectively.
