The Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has honoured the ruling New Patriotic Party’s First Vice Chairman for the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency, Honourable John Kwame Duodu, also known as “SIR JOHN,” for his exceptional support to the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates and his overall interest in improving the quality of education in the Municipality.

Mr. John Kwame Duodu received a plaque as a token of appreciation at the headquarters of the Municipal Directorate of Education at Nkawie on Monday, August 14, 2023.

 

RENOWN

In her speech at the short ceremony, the Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Juliana Essel-Cudjoe, said the Atwima Nwabiagya Education Directorate has immensely benefited from the TESCON Patron’s philanthropy and commitment to education in the Municipality and the country at large.

She also praised Sir John for giving education a high priority on his development agenda and for investing his time, resources, and efforts towards the development of the Municipality to a higher standard.

The Municipal GES Boss added that Sir John’s goals transcend beyond mere political aspirations and are true reflection of his deep love and sense of mission for the welfare of the people. She emphasized that having him as a son of the soil makes the Municipality happy and proud.

 

UTTERANCE

On his part, Mr. John Kwame Duodu, after receiving the plaque said he was humbled by the honour bestowed on him by the Municipal Directorate of Education and that he is inspired to keep working hard for his people and the nation as a whole.

Sir John who was deeply humbled and touched by the honour expressed his utmost appreciation to the Municipal Education Boss and her Management for acknowledging his little efforts in such a breathtaking manner.

Mr. John Kwame Duodu, who is also the Director of Finance of the Royal Ann College of Health (RACOH) located at Atwima Manhyia has been one of the most consistent philanthropists in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality and remains very enthusiastic about the developmental issues affecting the people.

 

 

 

He continues to receive numerous showers of praise from residents across the Municipality for being so forthright and committed to dealing with problems they are confronted with.

 

BACKGROUND

On Monday, July 31, 2023, the First Vice Chairman for the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency, John Kwame Duodu, popularly known as ‘’Sir John,” presented boxes of mathematical sets and pens to all the junior high school pupils who took the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) in the Municipality.

The NPP executive stated that the success of the pupils in the upcoming exams would portend better things for the Municipality hence the decision to support them so that they can do well and get the chance to enter Senior High Schools and further their education.
