Africa Methodist Episcopal Zion School (A.M.E. Zion) in Manso in the Asene-Manso-Akroso District has received reading and writing materials for kindergarten valued at GH¢16,000 from Mrs. Eva Obese Bempong, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Blooms Bookshop and Trading Enterprise.
Mrs. Eva Obese Bempong stated in a statement during a brief presentation ceremony that the donation was given in an effort to promote and enhance reading and writing skills among the students of the school.
She claims that even if the government is making an effort to improve education, it is insufficient. As a result, people who can offer help must do so in order for the nation to have a better system of education.
Mrs. Eva Bempong noted that the decision to gift the kindergarten reading and writing resources to the school was made because she believes that a foundational education is absolutely essential.
She entreated the teachers to allow the pupils to access the books.
According to information acquired, Mrs. Eva Obese Bempong adopted the Africa Methodist Episcopal Zion School (A.M.E. Zion) in Manso while she was employed by the Asene-Manso-Akroso District’s Education Directorate.
An establishment called Blooms Bookshop and Trading Enterprise, which deals in educational goods, is located in the Akim Oda Supermarket right opposite to GCB Bank.
Rev. Solomon Kobina Odum, the local school manager of Manso A.M.E. Zion School, who accepted the donation, thanked Mrs. Eva Obese Bempong, CEO of Blooms Trading and Book Shop Enterprise, and her staff for their kindness.
The headteacher of the school was urged by Rev. Solomon to store the books securely to prevent their impending spoilage.
Madam Evelyn, the headmistress, thanked the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Blooms Trading and Book Shop Enterprise for the gesture. She assured that the reading materials would be put to good use to benefit the students.
Some of the kindergarten pupils also expressed gratitude to Mrs. Eva Obese Bempong and offered prayers for her, saying that they would benefit from the books.
