NPP Primaries: “Adwumawura” Kennedy Osei Nyarko Cautions Supporters To Desist From Insults, Personal Attacks, And Lies Campaign

The incumbent Member of Parliament for Akim Swedru, Mr. Kennedy Osei Nyarko, officially submitted his nomination forms on December 25, 2023, at the constituency party’s office at Akim Swedru.

Speaking to the press soon after submitting the nomination, Mr. Kennedy Osei Nyarko expressed his appreciation to the party supporters for leaving their busy schedules to show unconditional love for him, promising not to let them down.

He was hopeful that on January 27, 2024, the delegates would vote in favor of him.

“I will win the upcoming primaries with over 70% of the votes at all costs because of the significant development initiatives I have brought to the constituency,” he stated.

Over the past eleven years since he was elected as the area’s MP, Mr. Kennedy has highlighted his accomplishments in the sectors of roads, health, sanitation, and education in the constituency.

Thus, he implored the constituency’s delegates to provide him with the necessary backing so that he could carry on his excellent work and ensure that the various communities continued to make remarkable advancements.

Hon. Kennedy Osei Nyarko warned his supporters to run a healthy campaign ahead of the primaries and abstain from attacking opponents with insults as he submitted the required paperwork to compete for reelection on the NPP ticket. This is due to his conviction that the NPP can only prevail in the general election in 2024 with unity.

 

 

He threatened to expel any of his supporters from his team if she or he attacked any of his opponents during the primaries because the NPP in the Akyem Swedru constituency needed to come together in order to break the eight.

He also called on all the other aspirants to ensure a peaceful election on January 27, 2024, by abiding by the guidelines set out by the Party’s Elections Committee.

 

 

 

He also gave his constituents assurances that he would see to it that all current projects in the constituency were completed; as a result, he begged the delegates to grant him another mandate to finish his job and further the constituency’s growth.

 

 

 

Confirming the names of the aspirants to MyGhanaMedia.com, the NPP Secretary for the Akim Sweduro constituency, Daniel Ntiri, said “Three individuals including the incumbent MP, Kennedy Osei Nyarko, the Controller and Accountant General, and Jermoe Kwame Akordor have filled their nomination.

“So far, the process in Akim Sweduro has been smooth and impressive”.

For the first time in twelve years, the Akim Swedru Constituency in the Eastern Region will be participating in the parliamentary primary of the New Patriotic Party.

 

The contest is already anticipated to be fierce as the incumbent MP faces competition from two others. Three individuals have picked nomination forms to contest the Akim Swedru parliamentary primary of the New Patriotic Party.

 

The incumbent MP, Kennedy Osei Nyarko, is expected to face off against businessman, Jerome Kwame Akordor, and the Controller and Accountant-General, Kwasi Kwanning-Bosompem.
