John Mahama has admonished international schools not to admit Ghanaian students because they have performed well under a government he hates. This ridiculous to say the least.
It’s sad and untenable for a former President to, as a matter of political expediency to stoop so low to such pronouncements . It is indeed unimaginable for a statesman of his experience to try to undermine the educational system in Ghana just for political gains.
As a former President, he should known better and that such reckless pronouncements are dangerous for the global acceptance of Ghanaian graduates from our educational institutions.
John Dramani Mahama’s description of the certificates of Ghana’s SHS graduates as substandard and said such Certificates will not be accepted for Studies abroad, is an indictment on himself as a former President and I think this is an unfortunate comment from a topmost decision maker when he was President. If this act isn’t a score of a desperate politician who is emotionally traumatized and staging a comeback to as a matter of fact carry out a governance of payback, I wonder what really he is coming back to do?
How soon can we forget his lack of sensitivity to education and the teacher? Was it not under his watch that common chalk for teachers was hell? But today , under the able leadership of H.E Nana Akufo-Addo/Bawumia led government, that cannot be seen as a neglect. There is great improvement and the result is what he John Mahama is jealous of. What kind of man is that? What at all will make a parent become jealous of his or her wards excellent performance in the WASSCE?
The citizens of this country most especially our SHS graduates will have to reject this kind of man once again come 2024 in the general elections for the gross disrespect he has exhibited in his opinion on the recent performance in the WASSCE.
Mr former president, your image is sinking day by day, you will do yourself well if you use one of your thank you tour platforms to apologize to the good people of Ghana, our parents and most especially our hardworking SHS graduates.
Mr former president, you described Ghanaians as having short memories but let me draw your attention to something, during your regime you could not pay teachers and Nursing trainees allowance, you could not pay feeding grants and students have to stay home for two to three months.
If Ghanaians could not describe your regime as substandard and prevalent in incompetence, what would it be Mr Mahama?
Mr Mahama, governance is not like remedial classes whereby you want to come back and correct your mistakes.
Ghanaians want the forward match of this country and not retrogression, 2024 elections are possible for our first class Vice President and the Flagbearer of our Great Party, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia. If you are short of ideas in this forward match, kindly retire to your duty as a Grand Papa.
