His Excellency Bishop Dr. Akwasi Adu Amankwah, United States of America’s ambassador to the United Nations Assembly has described the King of the Ashanti Kingdom as a transformational leader whose reign has brought honour and fame to his people, Ghana and Africa.
He noted that, since the reign of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as the Occupant of the Golden Stool in 1999, he has been one of a kind whose kingship has brought glory to Ghana and Africa in global scene.
H.E Bishop Dr Akwasi Adu Amankwah, a doctor of medicine, and member of the Certified Global Professional Account with other enviable academic credentials is also the Commander of the Most Nobel Peace Ambassadors for the United Nations and an Order of Minister Stateman.
He’s also a member of The Saviour Church Of Ghana. Her Royal Majesty, The Asante Hemaa, Nana Ama Konadu III is also a staunch member of the same church. The General Superintendent of the Church is Hon.Opanin Abraham Kwaku Adusei and Osiem in the Eastern Region is its headquarters.
The Honourable Member of the UN Assembly who’s also a nephew of Asantehene further stated that the Asante Monarch has not only been exceptional in promoting the Ghanaian culture globally, but his singular contribution to education, health, and infrastructure is evident.
In an exclusive interview with Kwame Awuah Nimfour of Opemsuo FM during the First Akwasidae at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi last Sunday, the Honourable Member of the UN Assembly emphasized that “Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is an embodiment of love, peace, wisdom, truth, and does not discriminate and a mentor for many to come”.
He disclosed that due to the exceptional leadership of the Occupant of the Golden Stool, another invitation would be extended to him soon to address the August House of UN Assembly on culture and developmental issues in Ghana and Africa.
He appealed to other traditional leaders to emulate the good example of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II so that the image of Ghana and Africa would be promoted globally.
