Following his successful health rehabilitation tour, which he began approximately six months ago after being reelected and sworn in as a Member of Parliament, the New Patriotic Fraternity in the Assin North constituency has welcomed Mr. James Gyakye Quayson back.
The members of the ruling Party pray for everyone’s health, regardless of their differences in politics.
In a press release that was mailed to MyGhanaMedia.com, they also sent their condolences to the sitting member of parliament for the untimely passing of his father, even though they haven’t received an official statement.
In the MP’s absence, the NPP faithfuls lamented a number of pressing issues pertaining to Assin North’s development.
They said they were attempting to talk to the MP in order to determine the best way to approach potential solutions, but they were also put in suspense and shock when members of his own party began to inquire about his whereabouts.
In order to prevent any “find me the ghost game” situations in the constituency, they thereby urge the legislator to formally notify both his executives and the people should any such action occur in the future.
Furthermore, Mr. Prince Agyekum, the New Patriotic Party’s constituency director of communication and signatory to the statement, contends that Hon. James Gyekye Quayson utilized propaganda to win the Assin North seat in the by-election.
He enumerated some of the charges made by the opposition National Democratic Congress against Mr. Charles Opoku, the candidate of the New Patriotic Party, all out of their desire for power.

COMMUNIQUE TO WELCOME HON. JAMES GYEKYE QUAYSON
The New Patriotic fraternity welcomes you from the successful health recovery trip you embarked on some six (6) months ago after you were elected and sworn in as Member of Parliament for Assin North.
We pray for good health for everyone irrespective of our political differences. Also, kindly accept our condolence for the sadden demise of your father as we have heard even though no formal communication has been directed as such to our office. We share with you this painful moment.
Hon. Member, we wished you were around for us to engage you on some pressing issues pertaining to the development of Assin North but we were all put in suspense and shock when your own party people started asking about your whereabouts. We are also in the known that your side, the Minority in parliament was in die need of you to join them to add up to their numbers in passing the 2024 budget but all attempts to find your proved futile.
Youths of Assin Gangan a place where you were favoured with lots of votes to facilitate your MP position even went on TV and Radio asking the same questions as your as party people were doing.
We are reliably informed that parents from your own political party were tossed up and down at your office in their attempts to find you to get some chop box and trunk for their wards to enjoy their portion of the Free SHS Policy instituted by the Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia led NPP government but to no avail.
We would therefore advise that you officially inform your executives and the constituents should there be any move of such next time to avoid any “find me the ghost game” in the constituency.
Hon. James Gyekye Quayson, the New Patriotic Party would like to know from your office if there has been a bill in parliament to be passed concerning LGBTQ+ after you were sworn in as an MP for Assin North.
During the By-election campaigns, your message was that a vote for the New Patriotic Party Candidate Hon. Charles Opoku will facilitate the passing of the LGBTQ+ bill and for that matter, the people should vote against which worked for you.
Again, Hon. Member, in the heat of the campaigns for the by-election, your message to the constituents was that the NPP candidate Hon. Charles Opoku is engaged in “Galamsey” and would claim all lands for “Galamsey. We would like to know if you have come across a mining concession document that bears the name of Hon. Charles Opoku on it.
We in the NPP, would rightly put it that, if all these were falsehood that were peddled against Hon. Charles Opoku by Hon. Gyekye Quayson and NDC, then we demand for an unqualified apology and retraction.
Furthermore, Hon Member, during the By-Election campaign your message to the people of Assin Bereku was that, the Bereku town road construction was just something to deceive them for their votes. Even after the election, the NDC communication team made a story which was carried by Peace Fm that the roads have been abandoned just after the NPP lost the election.
That notwithstanding Hon. Member, Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia led NPP, the DCE, Hon. Charles Ohene Andoh, Hon. Charles Opoku, the Constituency Executive Committee of Assin North have made it possible to shame the naysayers. Hon. Member, we want to break the news to you if you are not aware for your long time away from the country that, the Assin Bereku Town Roads now have1st coat of Bitumen surface applied on it and for the first time you will drive on Bitumen surface in town and to your home.
Again, Hon. Member while you were away receiving treatment, there have been lots of developmental projects that the Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia-led NPP government, supported by Hon. Charles Ohene Andoh and Hon. Charles Opoku in Assin North have undertaken in your absence.
As we speak, there are contractors on site to complete all dug mechanized boreholes in the following communities;
1. Aworabo
2. Nyamekye
3. Kwaku Entsie
4. Nkranfuom
5. Krofofrodo
6. Nkukuasa Mensah Krom
7. Attentan
8. Asempanaye SDA
9. Asempanaye Maranatha
10. Ahuntem
11. Abotareye
12. Essan
13. Adukrom
14. Kyei Krom
Furthermore, Hon. Member, whiles you were away the P.C and the DCE have been able to lobby to have the roads of the following communities reshaped;
• Sekanbodua
• Tweanka
• Zamboree
• Amoakrom.
The reshaping continues till it covers the entire Assin North enclave. This is the fair share and what Assin North people deserve. Every feeder road has been covered in our schedule prepared and sanctioned by Hon. Charles Opoku and our able DCE.
All these wonderful projects have taken place in your absence thanks to Hon. Charles Opoku and the DCE. Again, Hon. Member, whiles you were away, the NPP Hon. Charles Opoku has pushed for he three SHS we have in the constituency to have 100 beds each to enhance and solve their accommodation problems.
Better still, contractor is on site extending power to the following communities as a means to ensuring a fair share of development;
• Kyerede area
• Amadu area
• Anhweasu Abaase area and more to follow soon.
Also, Hon. Member, the youth in Assin North Assin Bereku to be precise now play football as late as 11 pm due to the completion of the Astroturf which the NDC branded it as fish pond.
Furthermore, Agenda 111 is moving on with an unprecedented speed in its construction fulfilling the promise of the president for the people of Assin North.
Also, for your information Hon. Member, the necessary signatories you left behind for your common fund have been effected by the DCE to personal aid and all the items such as the hair dryers and sewing machines have been procured and released to your party people. It will be prudent that you make the necessary follow up to ensure that all items that worth millions of cedis get to right persons in the constituency in order to achieve the purpose of which they were procured. We are of the eagle eyes and also following up on the items purchased and would hit you on any development concerning it.
Lastly, Hon. James Gyekye Quayson, we want to remind you of your numerous unfulfilled promises to the people of Assin North, the loans to our market women, the mini stadia at Assin Anwheasu and Gangan, the road construction and teaching staff promises, and overall making Assin North to be like Canada.
You are most welcome home
