The incumbent Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has been defeated in the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary primary held on Saturday, January 27.

She lost to the CEO of the Free Zones Authority and the son of the former Speaker of Parliament, Professor Mike Oquaye. , Mike Oquaye Jnr, who polled over 1194 while Adwoa Safo polled 328 A third candidate, Sheela Oppong Sakyi, placed third with a little of 100 votes.

Adwoa Safo decided to maintain her optimism despite being shamelessly voted out by the people in her constituency.

The former Dome Kwabenya member of parliament was seen dancing to the hit song “I’m a soldier” in a recent video that went viral.

Adwoa Safo has represented the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency in parliament since 2012.
