The communication team members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ejura-Sekyedumasi Constituency issued a notice of an indefinite strike to the party executive, which will take effect on Monday, January 29, 2024.

Members of the party’s disgruntled communication team asserted that they would be forced to boycott radio shows because the party executives and administration in the Ejura-Sekyedumasi Constituency had ignored them despite their significant role in defending government policies for the preceding three (3) years.

The communicators claim that they are having difficulty obtaining funding for transportation in order to defend the party on radio stations.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a member of the communication team told Nanafori, the news reporter for Naagyei FM in Ejura, “We are revealing to the public that we even struggle to get money for transport to defend the Party on radio stations, especially those communicators in Anyinasu, Sekyedumasi, and Frante through to Ejura.”
According to them, “We, the communicators, which include serial callers, are saying that the leadership of the party has shown gross disregard for our contributions to the party over the years. We are grumbling over poor welfare and neglect by President Akuffo Addo’s administration. The party leadership is enjoying themselves while the grassroots members, including communicators and serial callers, are unduly suffering in Ejura-Sekyedumasi.”.

Meanwhile, the angry communicators have been advised to be patient by the constituency’s communications director, Mr. Musa, as the party executives are implementing guidelines regarding their welfare.
