The victors of the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary primary on Saturday, January 27, 2023, have received congratulations from the party’s Belgium branch.
In a statement issued and bearing the signature of the branch secretary, S.D. Oduro, alias the Ranking Member, extends congratulations to the whole party fraternity for demonstrating maturity throughout an election process that was largely peaceful, transparent, and democratic.
They contend that this demonstrates their outstanding party’s principles of democracy.
They conveyed heartfelt congratulations to the rank and file of the party while recognizing the combined efforts of numerous stakeholders, such as the national, regional, constituency, electoral area, party executives at polling places, and the Electoral Commission, for effectively overseeing the electoral process.
They urged those who did not emerge victorious in the election to adhere to the party tradition and support the winners, stating “Let us focus and forge ahead to fight the opponent together”
“The parliamentary candidates and their supporters should be cautious in their celebrations in order not to give reasons for other members who were not in their camp to show surprising apathy towards the party but rather focus on unity and hard work to help build the party and fight the opponents to break the 8. We must learn to react differently with healthier coping strategies ”
