North East Region: Pregnant Woman Reported Missing

Afia Jona, a four-month pregnant woman from Kabori ating in the Gambaga-Nalerigu District of the North East Region, is reportedly missing.

According to a report, she was last seen heading to the Gushegu market on January 29, 2024, and since then, his family has not kept an eye on her.

Her family has concerns for her wellbeing

Afia Jona got married to a man last year in Tamaltingna Gushegu municipality.

Gbenjok Jeremiah Ziblim, the brother of Mrs. Jona’s husband, revealed to MyGhanaMedia.com in a phone call interview that they have reported the incident to the Gushegu police command and are also assisting with searching.

Mr. Gbenjok stated that the police did not provide the family with a statement following their reporting of the incident, no matter MyGhanaMedia.com’s request for a police statement regarding the missing person.

The 19-year-old has a mark on her cheek and a dark complexion.
