The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah has vowed to resign if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) can point out a single hospital it commissioned during its tenure.
His comments come after some Ashanti Regional NDC communicators said that the government has abandoned uncompleted hospitals started by the previous government.
Speaking at the inauguration of the NPP campaign team in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Osei-Mensah said the NDC has no moral right to talk about matters concerning the region because it did nothing for the people.
“I hope you know that I have thrown a challenge at them (NDC). I’ll step down if they are able to show one hospital, one that they either established from scratch or that they came to and finished.
They should just provide the facts and figures and I’ll resign,” he said.
He claims that the National Democratic Congress, the opposition party, ruled from 2009 to 2017 and even commissioned one hospital in the Ashanti region.
