Akufo Addo Will Be Remembered As One Of Ghana’s Greatest Leaders – Kwabena Frimpong

According to the Deputy Protocol Director of the Governing New Patriotic Party, Mr. Kwabena Frimpong, future generations and history will celebrate H.E. President Akufo Addo for his tremendous achievements in all sectors. He believes that President Akufo Addo’s excellent policies that his government has put in place will be praised by future generations.

Mr. Frimpong, in these remarks, tackled the Free SHS Policy as one of the “greatest interventions to hit the education sector in our country since the pre- and post-colonial era, which has invested hugely in churning out literate youth for the job market as education is one of the key tools for changing a family’s status.”

This policy has released parents of the huge school, examination region fees, and other expenses that kept most youth away from attending SHS due to the high cost. Again, this policy has allowed children from poor and rich homes to attend the top schools in Ghana, which prior to FREE SHS would only remain a dream.

He further touched on the One District, One Factory policy (1D1F) industrialization drive, which has many factories set up across the country and is functional. This policy has added value to our natural resources and created massive employment for the youth in rural and peri-urban communities, thereby improving income levels and standards of living as well as reducing rural-urban migration.

He added that “today, the good people in the northern part would celebrate Him for the Tamale Interchange, Tamale International Airport, Massive Roads projects done in the northern part, AstroTurf parks, Mini Stadiums, Restoration of Peace in the Dagbon Chieftaincy Crisis, etc.”

Mr. Frimpong added that this government has distributed over 300 ambulances to all 275 constituencies and reminders to selected hospitals, as well as drone medical delivery to health facilities across the country, ongoing Agenda 111 hospitals, cancer treatment centres, clearing of huge debts at NHIA to health facilities, etc.

 

“During the COVID-19 era, teachers stayed home for a year (1 year) but were paid the full salary without any hitches; electricity and water were provided freely to all Ghanaians; front-line workers received a 50% increment in salaries for over a year; and NBSSR also distributed free loans to support individuals.

 

On roads, this government achievement is unmatched, from Pokuase Interchange to Ongoing Takoradi Interchange to Nuagua Interchange to Obets3bi Interchange, etc., to the dualization of Accra to Kumasi Road and the Eastern Corridor Road. All the visible road projects done across the country are there for everyone to see.

The Borteyman and Legon Sports Stadiums, in addition to the Numerous AstroTurf and the 5000-seater stadiums across the previous 10 regions, with some completed and others ongoing, deserve praise.

 

Due to the visionary leadership of Nana-Bawumia Western Union, money transfer is again due to mobile money interoperability services that allow mobile money transfers across different networks.

 

According to Mr. Frimpong, his greatest Ghanaian presidents are Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ignatius Kutu Acheampong, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, because these leaders have left indelible marks that the next generation will continue to celebrate.

 

 

In conclusion, he thanks Prez Akufo for rotating the March 6 parade across the region, which boosts the various local economies. He believes Ghanaians would retain the NPP to continue these tremendous achievements but won’t repeat the 2008 mistake that took Ghana’s development back.
