Amidst a team of supporters that surrounded and delayed him from alighting from his bus onto the funeral grounds, the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Vice President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, together with his wife, Hajia Samira Bawumia, after several minutes of the delay by the supporters seeking to greet him with cheers and excitement, finally joined the Queen Mother, Nana Akosua Duaa Asor Sika Brayie II of the Sunyani Traditional Council on Saturday’s afternoon (April 6) to mourn with her, Nananom, and the People of Sunyani at the final funeral rites of the late Paramount Chief of the Area, Nana Bosoma Asor Nkrawiri II, held at the premises of the Palace.

 

 

 

 

 

The Flagbearer donated an amount of One hundred thousand Cedis ( 100,000) on behalf of the President of the republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo -Addo and another amount of One Hundred Thousand (100,000) Cedis in his name and the Party including a reasonable number of assorted items to the traditional council.

Making the donations , Hon Ignatius Barffour Awuah, Member of Parliament for Sunyani West Constituency and Minister in charge of Employment and Labor Relations who led the team recounted the organic BOND between the Queen mother, the Flagbearer, the Member of Parliament of the Area, Hon Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, Himself and the people in the Area.

 

 

 

Whilst the cheering crowd kept on calling the flagbearer, the “Digital Man”the “Next President”, the Future of “Ghana”, “ Oy3 y3 y3a BAWUMIA b3ba” in the akan language and translated as “ No Matter what you do, Dr BAWUMIA would be President “, the Mp also announced other contributions he has made together with the MP of the area who is currently on a national assignment at the ECOWAS parliament including the financing of the SYMBOL of the Traditional Area which was recently unveiled by them, the Queen Mother and Nananom.

 

 

The team of the Flagbearer included but not limited to the respected Hon Stephen Asamoah Boateng, Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, The National chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr Stephen Ayensu Ntim, the Regional Minister, Hon Justina Owusu Banahene, Hon Tuah Yeboah, Deputy attorney General, the Industrious Mr Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, Senior advisor to the Presidential Candidate, Dr Gideon Boako, Parliamentary candidate for Tano North Constituency, Parliamentary candidates in the twelve (12) constituencies, all twelve (12) Municipal and District chief Executives including Hon Ansu Kumi whose constituency the funeral was held, the Bono Regional Executives of the a party, lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen, BAWUMIA Campaign committee Cochair on local Governance, Some CEOs, Sunyani East and West Constituency Executives, polling station and electoral area Coordinator in the Sunyani East Constituency

 

 

 

The flagbearer had to leave immediately after he had graced the occasion and completed what was required of him back to the capital to attend to another important national assignment.
