Queenmothers Should Be Included in Regional House of Chiefs – Obiri Boahen

Spread the love

Private legal practitioner Nana Obiri Boahen is calling for Queenmothers to be included in the Regional House of Chiefs.

Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen argued that excluding Queenmothers from Regional House of Chiefs meetings is discriminatory and unconstitutional.

He insisted in an interview that, according to the definition of a Chief, Queenmothers should participate in the Regional House of Chiefs.

Lawyer Obiri Boahen asserted that Queenmothers hold the same status as Chiefs and should receive equal allowances.

He criticized the current situation, blaming Queenmothers for not asserting their rights and allowing Chiefs to dominate them.
