The #DumsormMustStop demonstration scheduled on Saturday, May 25, 2024, in Grand Accra, has been postponed to Saturday 8th June 2024.
The planned protest is meant to express the organisers’ displeasure with the NPP administration under President Akufo-Addo for its persistent mismanagement and the “dumsor” regime it has imposed on the people of Ghana.
The letter, which was signed by the actress, Yvonne Nelson, and the former National Organiser aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Henry Osei Akoto, indicated that the vigil-style event will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2024. It is anticipated to begin at 2:00 PM and conclude at 10:00 PM.
The notice states that the protesters will converge in front of the University of Ghana and march to the Tetteh Quarshie Roundabout, where they plan to have a podium for remarks.
