An international investigation has uncovered a list of properties owned by Inusah Abdulai Bistav Fuseini, the former Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and member of parliament for Tamale Central.
A global report claims that Joseph Kwaku Asamoah, the former finance director of Ghana’s Electoral Commission; Moses Aduku Asaga, the former member of parliament for Nabdam in the Upper East Region; and Anthony Alfred Benin, a former judge on the Supreme Court of Ghana as well as the ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States) Court of Justice, were both identified as having owned properties in Dubai, which is under dubious circumstances.
Moses Asaga, former member of Ghana’s parliament and former chief executive of the National Petroleum Authority of Ghana, possessed a single flat valued at over $130,000, according to a report published by the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP).

Inusah Abdulai Bistav Fuseini
As per the report, Inusah Fuseini, who served in multiple ministerial capacities under John Mahama from 2012 to 2016, including Minister of Roads and Highways and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, was identified as the proprietor of over 22 prestigious assets valued at millions of dollars in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
In a report by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), Inusah Fuseini was listed among more than 700 criminals, sanctioned individuals, and politically exposed persons who have acquired properties in Dubai under dubious circumstances, OCCRP said.
The OCCRP with hubs in Amsterdam, Washington, D.C., and Sarajevo, is one of the largest investigative journalism organizations in the world.
This news about Inusah Fuseini comes at a time his rival in Ghana’s Northern politics, Haruna Iddrisu was also accused by a South African Newspaper (News24) of corruption related to the award of contracts by the government of Ghana within a stated period. He denied the allegations.
This also comes at a time when Inusah Fuseini’s son was convicted of internet fraud in the United States.
The inquiries are still awaiting information regarding the dates of purchase and leases for the apartments and properties registered in the name of Inusah Fuseini, who was elevated by John Mahama from Deputy Minister to full Minister.
He was at different times in charge of two ministries, the Ministry of Road and Highways and the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.
Major multi-million dollar road project contracts under the John Mahama administration were signed under his tenure as minister including the Brazilian Queroz Galvao contract.
The list of properties includes plush luxury high-end serviced 3–4-5 bedroom condos and presidential suites owned by Inusah Fuseini totaling nearly US$ 10 million.
