Zebilla MP Cuts Sod For Construction Of 3 Unit Classroom Block At Widnaba

The Member of Parliament for the Zebilla Constituency, Hon. Cletus Apul Avoka has cut sod for the construction of a three unit classroom block at Widnaba-Googo, a suburb of Zebilla in the Bawku West District of the Upper East Region. The project is funded by his share of GETFund and when completed would accelerate education in the constituency. Hon Avoka told the residents to take charge of the project and keenly monitor it to avoid shoddy work.

 

“This is a fulfilment of my campaign promise to the good people of Googo and Weari during the 2020 elections campaign. I told you I was going to improve the standard of education in this area. And so today, we begin the construction of a school building for you. This is just the beginning. You stand to benefit more in the coming years.” Mr. Avoka emphasized.

 

 

 

He later paid a courtesy call on the chief of Widnaba at his palace to create his indulgence on the project. The Chiefs and people of the area expressed their excitement about the project and pledged to support the contractor to complete the project in time.

 

 

 

In attendance at the Sod-cutting ceremony were the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the 2024 General elections, Hon Ebenezer Alumire Ndebilla, the Constituency chairman of the NDC, Dr Atiah Kudugu, a representative of the District Director of Education, Mr. James Ayariga, Bawku West Districts works Engineer, Mr Moses Awarikaro Awenkanaab, the Chief of Widnaba, Naba Amalteng Akutam and the sub-Chiefs of Googo and Weari.
