The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has informed the national executives of his choice of running mate.

He has selected Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO ahead of the December 7 election.

The Vice President met with the national executives at the party Headquarters in Accra on Monday.

This decision follows consultations with President Nana Addo Dankwa and Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Henry Nana Boakye, National Organiser of the NPP, added that Dr Bawumia’s nomination “however awaits the decision of the National Council which is the final approval organ of the NPP.”
