The Asanteman Nkosuo, NPP Mpuntuo group has expressed immense joy and satisfaction following the appointment of Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, as the running mate to His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the upcoming general elections.

The pressure group, which is dedicated to advocating for the development of Asanteman, had actively called for NAPO’s appointment, and their wish has been granted by the NPP party.

Dr. Mohammed Issah Ababio, the Chairman of the group, conveyed the group’s excitement during the official outdoor event for NAPO in Kumasi.

“We are really excited about this appointment,” Dr. Ababio remarked.

“The NPP party listened to our call, and we believe this is a significant step towards the development of the Ashanti Region.”

Dr. Ababio emphasized that NAPO’s appointment assures the Ashanti Region of substantial development if they secure victory in the upcoming elections.

“With this appointment, Ashanti Region is assured of development when they win the upcoming elections,” he stated confidently.

Highlighting NAPO’s qualities, Dr. Ababio praised his humility, selflessness, kindness, and ambition, describing him as the perfect candidate for the current needs of Ghanaians.

“The NPP wouldn’t have gotten a perfect pair for the upcoming election with NAPO being appointed,” he said.

“His humility, selflessness, kindness, and ambitious nature are exactly what Ghanaians need at this time.”

Addressing the current challenges faced by the country, Dr. Ababio urged Ghanaians to remain patient and hopeful, expressing his belief that the Bawumia-NAPO ticket will navigate the nation through its hardships.

“I know things are hard now, but with Bawumia and NAPO, I believe that Ghana will survive the hardship,” he asserted.

Dr. Ababio also made a passionate plea to the electorate to vote massively for the Bawumia-NAPO ticket, emphasizing that they are the only candidates capable of solving Ghana’s problems.

“I ask all Ghanaians to vote massively for them as they are the only people who can solve Ghana’s problems,” he appealed.

Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, before his appointment as the running mate, served as the Member of Parliament for the Manhyia South Constituency and held the positions of Education Minister and Energy Minister.

His extensive experience in these roles has equipped him with a deep understanding of the issues facing the nation and the skills necessary to address them.

As the election campaign progresses, the support from groups like NPP Nkosuo, and Asanteman Mpuntuo, signifies a strong backing for the Bawumia-NAPO ticket, potentially paving the way for significant developments in the Ashanti Region and beyond.
