Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Akwatia Constituency, Mercy Adu-Gyamfi, popularly known as Ama Sey, has urged the people of Ofoase to vote for the NPP’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming election.
Addressing a crowd at Ofoase-Ayirebi in the Eastern Region on Wednesday, August 21, Ama Sey emphasized Dr. Bawumia’s proven track record as Vice President, making him the best candidate to lead Ghana to a brighter future.
She criticized NDC’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, for his past performance, citing his admission of being a “dead goat” when questioned about his tenure. Ama Sey asked rhetorically, “What can a dead goat be used for, except to decompose?” She urged the people of Ofoase to reject Mahama, whom she believes lacks vision.
“Someone referred to himself as a “dead goat.” What purpose can a dead goat serve except to be devoured by vultures? Let us not even think of voting for someone who has likened himself to a “dead goat,” she said.
She highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s instrumental role in shaping Ghana’s economic trajectory, citing his key contributions to the implementation of transformative policies such as the Free SHS program, the Digitalization Agenda, and the 1D1F.
Ama Sey noted that these initiatives have not only improved lives but also driven economic growth, making Dr. Bawumia the most suitable candidate to lead Ghana to a brighter future. She encouraged the people of Ofoase to vote for the NPP to continue its good work.
