NPP Confirms Abdul-Kabiru Mahama As Walewale Parliamentary Candidate

Spread the love

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially confirmed Dr Tia Abdul-Kabiru Mahama as its parliamentary candidate for the Walewale constituency.

This decision was made during a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

The confirmation follows the withdrawal of Lariba Zuweira Abudu, the incumbent Member of Parliament and one of the two aspirants in the parliamentary primary contest.

With Zuweira stepping down, Dr Mahama emerged as the sole aspirant for the position.

The NPP expressed high regard for Zuweira’s decision to withdraw and called on all stakeholders in the Walewale constituency to support Dr Mahama’s candidacy wholeheartedly.

The NPP made this known in a statement signed and issued by its General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong.
