The incumbent member of Parliament for Akwatia Constituency, Mr. Henry Boakye, a.k.a. Okoyo, has vowed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will retain the parliamentary seat in the December 7 elections, asserting that the seat will never return to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Mr Henry, who doubled as the NDC parliamentary urged his constituents to remain focused on the campaign, promoting the NDC’s “People’s Manifesto,” which was recently launched in Winneba.
Addressing supporters during the filing of his nomination forms at the Electoral Commission’s district office in Akwatia, Mr. Henry stressed the NDC’s commitment to maintaining the seat.
He said even though he was an opposition MP looking at his numerous projects and developments in the area within his years, the people would give another nod to continue.
Mr. Henry Boakye added that this year’s elections will be peaceful in Akwatia, as they happened in 2020.
