A businessman, Mr. Evans Ofosu Amoah, has constructed a health center and nurse’s quarters for his community, Akyem Asuboa, in the Asene Manso Akroso of the Eastern Region.

On September 23, 2024, a ceremony was held to officially inaugurate the project and commemorate the birthday of Mr. Evans Ofosu Amoah.

Speaking to the gathering, Mr. Evans said he was struck with sadness upon visiting the Asuboa Health Center, which led him to plan the facility’s early renovation.

He mentioned that the chief and his elders had later approached him, pleading with him to construct an entirely novel structure rather than renovate the old one, and he backed the noble idea.

He disclosed that the project’s funding was funded by him, and the land was granted by the chiefs.

Additionally, he offered all the medical equipment required for the community to receive top-notch healthcare.

Mr. Evans designated the facility in honor of his late mother, Madam Akua Effaah.

He exhorted wealthy people to give back to their communities and the underprivileged, saying that doing so brings additional blessings.

In addition, he pledged to donate an ambulance and cover the facility’s annual electricity costs.

Speaking on behalf of the Akyem Asuboa chief and Nananom who were present, Obrempong Gyamfi Saforo Kyere, the Krontihene of Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area, expressed gratitude to Mr. Evans Ofosu Amoah for the gesture.

He pleaded with the facility’s administrators to make sure that its culture will be safeguarded for the benefit of future generations.

The generous gift of the health center thrilled Dr. Winfred K. Ofosu, the Eastern Regional Director of Health Service.

It will aid in providing quality healthcare in this area, he said.

In order to benefit the next generation, he guaranteed that the facility would safeguard its culture.

Alexander Akwasi Acquah, the deputy minister of health, and the Eastern Regional Director of Health Service put the project into motion.
