Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo has named a 25-man squad for Ghana’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan.
Defenders Alexander Djiku and Gideon Mensah make their return to the team after missing out on the previous qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
Left-back Isaac Afful from FC Samartex has earned his first call-up, following his standout performances in the preliminary stages of the CAF Champions League and the current Premier League season.
Ernest Nuamah, who plays for Olympique Lyon, and Atalanta midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana are also back in the squad after recovering from injuries that kept them sidelined during last month’s qualifiers.
Ghana is set to face Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 11, before heading to Libya for the return leg at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium on Tuesday, October 14, 2024.\
