The National Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw, has commented on the recent death of Akua Donkor, leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), criticizing her alleged alignment with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and controversial statements against NDC leaders.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Burning Issues show, Dr. Bisiw expressed her sentiments about the late politician’s affiliations and past remarks, stating, “Let no one pretend that she [Akua Donkor] had a foot in the NDC. It’s an open secret that she was siding with the NPP.” Dr. Bisiw dismissed the notion of honouring Akua Donkor’s legacy, adding that, while she sympathizes with the family, she does not feel compelled to praise her.
Dr. Bisiw went on to recall Akua Donkor’s claims, accusing former President John Mahama of involvement in the deaths of President Atta Mills and former Vice President Amissah-Arthur.
According to Bisiw, these statements were “wild allegations” that sought to damage the reputation of the NDC. “Why would you as a woman wake up and make such wild accusations?” Dr. Bisiw questioned.
