A jealous boyfriend in his early 30s has beheaded his girlfriend over suspected cheating at Diaso community in the Upper Denkyira West of the Central Region.
Reports gathering indicate that a young lady has allegedly been beheaded by her jealous boyfriend in his room after she was reportedly caught having an affair with another man.
After killing his girlfriend, the alleged culprit reportedly left the community right away.
The community members and friends of the lady spotted the couple in the afternoon of 9th January 2025.
However, after a while, the lady’s friends were not hearing from her, hence some of them rushed to the boyfriend’s house and opened the door to his room only for them to find the deceased soaked in a pool of blood from multiple knife stabs on her neck lying on the floor.
This has brought tension to the Diaso community even as the police are trying to control the crowd that gathered at the scene.
The deceased is said to hail from the Northern Region and has been dating the alleged culprit for a year now.
Diaso has been in the news in recent times for killing innocent people. Last year, many people were reported to have been murdered by individuals for ritual purposes.
This is the second time two ladies have been killed by their boyfriends over alleged cheating within one week at the beginning of 2025 in the Central Region.
The first one happened at Awutu Bawjiase in the Awutu Senya West District, and the second one happened at Diaso in the Upper Denkyira West District, all in the Central Region.
Meanwhile, police officers in Diaso have visited the scene and started an investigation into the issue.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Dunkwa On-Offin District Government Hospital for autopsy and preservation.
No arrest has been made so far, as the suspected boyfriend has run away from the community.
