The Appointments Committee of Parliament is scheduled to hold a series of vetting sessions for ministerial nominees selected by President John Dramani Mahama.
The vetting process will commence on Thursday, January 23, 2025, and run until Monday, January 27, 2025. Sessions will begin at 8:30 a.m. daily and will be conducted in Committee Rooms 1, 2, and 3 of the New Administration Block.
In preparation for the proceedings, the Director of Media Relations has issued a memorandum to the Dean of the Parliamentary Press Corps, requesting comprehensive media coverage of the event.
The vetting sessions aim to thoroughly assess the qualifications, experience, and suitability of the nominees for regional ministerial roles and other key ministerial positions.
This critical exercise forms part of Parliament’s constitutional duty to ensure accountability and transparency in the selection of public officials.
