The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially summoned former Dome Kwabenya Member of Parliament (MP), Sarah Adwoa Safo to appear before its Disciplinary Committee as part of an inquiry into her recent media remarks on the party’s 2024 electoral defeat.
The notice, dated March 24, 2025, was issued by the Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, Patrick Boamah, and Director of Finance and Administration, William Yamoah.
The hearing is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Conference Room of the NPP Headquarters, located at Asylum Down, Accra.
The notice advises Safo to present any relevant documentary evidence or witnesses to support the inquiry. Additionally, she is entitled to legal representation during the proceedings.
The referral letter from the General Secretary has been enclosed for her reference, and the party has requested confirmation of her attendance.
The NPP emphasised its commitment to principles of transparency, fairness, and due process, urging cooperation in the matter.
The notice has been copied to key party officials, including the National Chairman, General Secretary, and Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee. The party’s leadership has reiterated its dedication to upholding its values and ensuring accountability within its ranks. The outcome of the hearing is expected to shed light on the matter under investigation.
