Mr. William Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who served as the 13th president of Ghana from 2017 to 2025, shared a warm moment with his predecessor, John Agyekum Kufuor, during the Easter period.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, April 19, 2025, Akufo-Addo expressed his delight at reconnecting and engaging with John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor, who served as the tenth president of Ghana from 2001 to 2009.
He described the elder statesman as “ever-cheerful and highly spirited,” and affectionately referred to him as his “boss,” highlighting his deep respect and admiration for the former leader.
The meeting between the two prominent figures of Ghana’s Fourth Republic and the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been widely praised, symbolizing unity, continuity, and mutual respect among the nation’s leaders.
Their Easter encounter served as a reminder of the importance of goodwill and strong relationships, even beyond political office.
