President John Mahama has submitted his final batch of deputy ministerial nominees to Parliament for approval.
This is in accordance with Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of the 1992 Constitution.
A statement issued by the Minister for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, listed four Members of Parliament nominated to serve across various key ministries.
The nominees are:
- Dorcas Toffey, (Member of Parliament for the Jomoro Constituency) – Ministry of Transport
- James G. Quayson, (Member of Parliament for the Assin North Constituency) – Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Mohammed Adam Sukparu, (Member of Parliament for the Sissala West Constituency) – Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations
- Grace Ayensu-Danquah, (Member of Parliament for the Essikado-Ketan Constituency) – Ministry of Health
The nominations mark the final set of appointments by the President to fill deputy ministerial roles in his administration, subject to parliamentary approval through the Speaker of Parliament.
