I Have Not Developed Interest In Asante Kotoko Board Chairman Position – Dr Kwabena Duffuor Jabs

The seasoned Ghanaian Economist who was the former Minister of Financeand Economic Planning, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, has stated that he never developed interest to become a Executive Board Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club.

He stressed that although he is a sports fan and respect the local teams in Ghana, he as a person is above of any  Executive Board Chairman job.

The former Governor of Bank of Ghana (BoG) called on the general public to disregard of what he described as fake news which has gone viral on YouTube channel and other social media platforms to the effect that he [Dr Kwabena Duffuor] wanted to coach the Kumasi Asante Kotoko Club.

Speaking in an interview with some senior journalists to set the records straight on the matter, Dr Duffuor noted that it has come to his notice that there is a viral YouTube news item for which a holigan is saying nonsense things about me.”

“Being the true statesman in this country l am l can clearly state that I, Dr Kwabena Duffuor has never and ever declared his willingness to do such sporting job, so the news item published on YouTube channel was a calculated attempt made by one of the enemies to destroy my hard won reputation to score their points, but they have completely failed their evil aganda.”

“I am saying that the news item on YouTube is baseless and unfounded,” Dr Duffuor stressed and stated that l have already informed my lawyers to take up the matter.”
