The former Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Joseph Yammin has emphasized that President Akufo-Addo’s failure to complete ongoing projects in Ashanti Region is an insult to the people of the region as Kyebi is receiving fast development under his leadership.
According to Joseph Yammin, President Akufo-Addo does not value Ashanti Region as the stronghold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) which informs his conduct.
Speaking on The Gumbe show on XYZ TV hosted by Mugabe Mase, Joseph Yammin explained that President Akufo-Addo’s inability to complete the abandoned projects in Ashanti Region is to provoke and insult Asanteman.
“President Akufo-Addo went to Boankra Inland Port to cut a sod for the completion of the project but no contractor is on-site working. He commissioned Tepa Hospital which was built by former President John Dramani Mahama but till now the project has been abandoned” Yammin said.
He that “if President Akufo-Addo values and cherishes Ashanti Region as NPP stronghold he wouldn’t have deceived Asanteman with sod-cutting ceremonies of projects he knew will not see the light of day”.
“When President Akufo-Addo was sworn into office in 2017, he cut sod for fixing of roads in Ashanti Region but all the contractors have left sites leaving the roads abandoned”.
“Go to Kyebi and you will realize how President Akufo-Addo’s government is developing Kyebi with quality roads and infrastructure while the region which gave NPP the power has been deprived from development”.
